Premier set off earlier this year on a Frosty winter morning to the local First aid training centre in Leicestershire to complete the Emergency First Aid at work course, the qualification is designed for anybody who needs to be or would like to be trained as an emergency first aider.
The course was suitable for any sector, so office staff and on site staff were all trained to the same level, with the outcome being to provide essential knowledge to ensure a safer working environment.
Whilst the contents of the course displayed some very serious issues, the day didn’t go by without a little healthy competition seeing all the team competing against the clock to deliver the perfect chest compression fro a minute, needless to say it was good fun with a very good set of results.
Followed by a team bonding meal with everyone returning to work the next day, with more awareness, and the satisfaction that we had all learned a new and lifesaving skill. All round a really enjoyable, yet really important day out keeping our sites safer.
